The Kunstverein St.Gallen, founded in 1827, is one of the oldest cultural associations in the city, and with its ca. 2,000 members, it is by far, also the largest. Since the nineteenth century, it has been the driving force for the development of the fine arts in St. Gallen and presents top rank exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen. The Kunstverein enables visitors from the City and Canton of St. Gallen, as well as from Switzerland and abroad, the chance to encounter seminal artworks from the past and present. In addition, it provides substantial support and sponsorship for the creation of art in the region. With its temporary exhibitions of contemporary and historical art, the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, thanks to the sponsorship by Kunstverein, enjoys an international presence.
As a member of the Kunstverein St.Gallen, you support the fine arts and enjoy exclusive events in the Kunstmuseum and in the Kunstzone in the Lokremise. Look forward to exciting encounters with artists at openings, performances, artist’s talks, and workshops, and join in the discussion at symposiums. Be inspired—join us on visits to studios, travel with the curators to international exhibitions and experience art and artists up close. In addition, you will receive discounts on editions and publications as well as free or discounted admission to more than twenty exhibition institutions in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Vorarlberg. As a member, you experience more art!
Welcome to the Kunstverein St. Gallen. We are pleased to have you with us!
